The collection, processing and use of personal data for all church and church-sponsored institutions in Germany is governed by the Directive on Church Data Security (KDO) and other applicable church and government data protection regulations. This statement is our way of informing you about the mode, scope and purpose of our collection and use of personal data in this website.  

The Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH privacy policy uses terms defined by the European legislators and regulators in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

 

Collection and storage of personal data

Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH collects, uses and shares your personal data only as expressly permitted by law or as consented to by you. “Personal data” is defined as any and all information that serves to define you as a person and which can be attributed to or traceable to you: examples include your name, your email address and telephone number.   

Use of this website does not require you to share your personal data with Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH unless,  when visiting the site, you wish to make use of  certain features, including enquiries sent via the contact form. In this instance, you will be required to enter certain data.   

 

Data collection on our website

Some personal data is collected when you provide that information to us, for instance when you enter your personal data into the contact form.

Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, access time) primarily. This data is collected automatically when you visit the site.   

Every time you access an internet site or internet file the following access data is saved:
1. Page from which you requested the file (referral site)
2. Name of the file requested
3. Date and time you requested the file
4. Volume of data transferred
5. Access status (file transferred, file not located, etc.)
6. A description of the web browser and operating system used
7. IP address of the requesting computer.

The stored data is used exclusively for technical or statistical purposes. Some of the data is collected to ensure the website loads without error. Other data can be used to analyse user behaviour. The website operator also reserves the right to retroactively review log files if there is specific indication of illegal use. The data is stored in a log file. Log files are needed to ensure proper connections as well as to rectify disruptions or security breaches. Neither the log files, nor any part thereof, are cross-referenced with other datasets or shared with third parties. The website operator automaticly deletes the access data after seven days.

 

Your rights

Information, blocking, erasure and “right to be forgotten”

You have at any time the right to request and receive without charge information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to demand this data be corrected, blocked or deleted. You can contact us in this regard and for any additional questions relating to data security at any time using the address on our site notice page.   

Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH will be pleased to provide you with information regarding your stored personal data in response to any written request to that effect. We will delete the stored personal data if you withdraw your consent for storage of data, if the data is no longer required for the purpose for which it was stored, or if the storage is otherwise legally inadmissible.

 

Withdrawing your consent for data processing

Many data processing procedures are only possible with your consent. You can withdraw consent you may have given in the past at any time. A simple email to us to that effect will serve the purpose. The legality of data processing prior to the withdrawal of consent is unaffected by that withdrawal of that consent.

Electronic mail (Email)

Information that you send unencrypted to Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH via electronic mail (email), may possibly be read by third parties during transmission. Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH can generally not verify your identity and will not know the true owner of the email address. Simple email is therefore not guaranteed as a legally secure means of communication.  Like many email providers, we set filters against unwanted advertising (SPAM filters) which, in some instances will automatically, but erroneously identify normal emails as spam and delete them. Emails that contain damaging programmes (viruses) will definitely be automatically deleted by Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH. If you wish to share sensitive information with Johannes-Hospiz Münster GmbH, we recommend you send it via the conventional postal system.

 

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive or have provided to a third party in a customary, machine readable format, any data that we automatically processed on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract.  If you request direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, we will do this to the extent it is technically feasible.

We explicitly object to the use of contact details, published under the statutory obligation to provide legal notice, for mailing advertisements or informational resources not explicitly requested. The operators of these pages reserve the explicit right to take legal steps in the case of unsolicited advertising materials, including spam emails.

Contact form

If you send us an enquiry using the contact form, we will store the data you entered into the form, including the contact data you indicated, for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-on questions. This data will not be shared without your consent. 

The data you enter into the contact form is therefore only processed with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 (a) GDPR). You can withdraw this consent at any time. A simple email to us to that effect is sufficient. The legality of any data processing prior to the withdrawal of consent is unaffected by the withdrawal of consent.  

We will hold onto the data you entered into the contact form until you ask us to delete it, you withdraw your consent for it to be stored, or the purpose for holding onto the data ends (e.g. once your request has been processed). Legal obligations, in particular regarding periods of storage, are unaffected by this provision.

 

Plugins and tools

Google Fonts

This website makes use of web fonts provided by Google to ensure fonts display consistently. When you load a page your browser loads the required web fonts to your browser cache in order to display text and fonts correctly.

To this end, your browser needs to connect to the Google servers. Google sees that our site has been accessed by your IP address. We use Google Fonts in the interests of consistent and appealing presentation of our online content. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Abs. 1 (f) of the GDPR.

This website uses the mapping service Google Maps. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA via an application programming interface (API).

Your IP address is stored when you use Google Maps. This information is general transmitted to and saved on the Google servers in the United States of America. The provider of this website has no influence on this data transmission. 

We use Google Maps in the interest of presenting our content online in an appealing way and to ensure the locations we refer to on our website are easily found. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Abs. 1 (f) of the GDPR.

 

Social media (Face­book, Twit­ter)

As soon as you click on the activated button, however, you will be taken to the Facebook and Twitter servers where your IP address and recently visited website will be communicated to the respective social media sites. If cookies from the social network sites were deposited on your computer or you subsequently log in to the social media sites, this information can be connected to your user profile.
