Dear Readers,
The European Palliative Care Academy – Leadership Course provided the perfect opportunity to enjoy teaching and learning exchanges with colleagues from all over Europe over a period of 16 months. Since the course’s completion in 2017, the dialogue between the Regional Palliative Care Center in Ivano-Frankivsk (Ukraine) and the Johannes Hospice in Münster has continued and become increasingly compelling. Since then, we have visited western Ukraine on several occasions. Talks were held, professional ideas exchanged and donations made. May provided the opportunity for the Johannes Hospice to host a small group of visitors to Münster from Ivano-Frankivsk. This newsletter provides a report of that memorable encounter, which is why you won’t find our usual sections on “Day-to-day work at the hospice”, “Education” and “Expanding horizons”.
Wishing you the very best – and a little time to stop and smell the roses.
Yours cordially,
Ihr Andreas Stähli
